Assignment 1: Understand The Requirements of Working to a Brief

A brief is a assignment set by a company too whoever they have doing a project for them, its a strict set of instructions which the employee has too follow but can make there own twist on it which is what the company wants so they set the basic outline and the employee completes to a deadline, if you do not follow the brief or do not complete your assignment on time you will not get paid or even get considered for use again.

Different Style Of Briefs
  • Contractual Brief  - This Brief style involves signing a binding contract which commits yourself to the company who are giving you the brief and you work for the company for the period of time until the assignment is complete.
  • Negotiated Brief - These types of briefs are not the same as others where the brief is given too you and you work to it, you work with the employers to make the brief better and any problems which could be there can be solved and worked on.
  • Competition Brief - a competion brief is when a few employees or people they have to do briefs and they set these employees the same brief and whoever does the best final product gets the job or money.

  • Commision Brief - A commison brief is when authorisation has to be given, for example a building, equipment or a project etc.
  • Co-Operative Brief - This style of brief is met by more than one employee, usually two people working on the brief to get it done.
  • Formal Brief - When working to a formal brief the work must be done to the most professional standard, suitable for television or a official event.
  • Tender Brief - A tender brief is done in such away which conveys sympathy for the target audience or subject.

  • Informal Brief - This style of brief is a more relaxed type, unlike a formal brief it is friendly un official approach to completing the brief.

Before the layout of the design was started the content which was the most important thing for the website, to work out what relative information which the viewers of the website need to see, The map to be able to find the location was an application i wanted to add to the website making it viewable from wherever the viewer may be. An activity schedule so that the children know what is available to them and i knew the club sent these out to the families which attend the club.
